Happy Valentine’s Day!

Rachel and I have a tradition of making handmade Valentines for her friends. We did a really simple chocolate bar wrap this year. It’s easy and you can adapt it for any occasion. And kids can totally get in on the action.

We found the cutest little weiner foam die cuts at Target a couple week ago. We snapped those babies up immediately. We love weiner dogs.

The first step of this project is to measure the length of your chocolate bar. 6x6 patterned paper is easiest to use because you only have to make one cut (the length of your bar.) This bar measured 5.25”. Then you just wrap your paper around and secure it with a few glue dots. Then decorate however you like.

You can use these for wedding or birthday party favors. Or for any holiday – Easter, Halloween, Christmas. The sky’s the limit.

Papertrey January Blog Hop Challenge - Chocolate Pockets

Hey there! This month's challenge from PTI was to use one of their stamp sets that you've never used before and haven't used in a while.  Sign me up! I love any excuse to get crafty.

So...I dusted off my "Mixed Messages" and "Garden of Life" sets to create what I'm calling Chocolate Pockets for Valentine's Day.

Just take a small piece of wool felt, fold it over and stitch on each side. I'm loving those decorative stitches. Then, I die cut a piece of My Mind's Eye patterned paper using the Spellbinder's vintage label die. I used the Ghirardelli square chocolates as my measurment guide.

I forgot how much I love the stamps from Garden of Life. The two-step stamping makes coloring the images a breeze. PTI: If ya'll are listening, please, please design some more of these two-step stamps.

I added a little sentiment from Mixed Messages to each label. They are the perfect size for this!

These were so easy to make! I'll definitely be using these Chocolate Pockets again. You could use these for anything small that's packaged - tea bags, hot chocolate, notepad, eye shadow, M&M's...basically any packaged candy.
